An actor who writes…

Adrian trained as an actor at the leading London drama school, ALRA (The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts). He has worked extensively across theatre, radio, film and television for the last 24 years. Notably touring the UK playing Laertes and Guildenstern in Hamlet, and Malvolio in Twelfth Night. Among the many roles on TV in both comedy and drama including Coronation Street, Episodes, Three Girls and Waking the Dead, Adrian is well known for playing the quirky paramedic Norman Burnton in BBC One’s Casualty for 25 episodes across two series. Most recently he appeared as Duncan Selbie in Sky Atlantic’s new drama This England and in the comedy Outlaws.

A writer who acts…

As a writer, Adrian has worked in theatre, radio, film and now is developing two novels – one being a thriller set during World War 2 and the other a middle-grade adventure story for children aged 8 – 12. He gained an MA (with merit) in Screenwriting from Royal Holloway University of London, where he returns each year to teach a masterclass to the MA students.

Alfie’s Island is a middle-grade novel aimed at children aged 8 -12 at approx. 42,000 words that is currently under submission to agents and publishers.
